A Winter Visit
It's an incredible Winter Wonderland in Muskoka!  There's plenty for you to do in our region during the Winter time - forget going South...enjoy a fun-filled getaway and embrace the snow in Ontario, Canada!
Our four season cottages are winterized and are electrically heated so that you are in control of your environment.  Large lakeview picture windows face South to let in beautiful, warm sunshine on those cold days.

Ample parking is available at each cottage for snowmobile trailer parking.  No need to carry all of your things great distances - it's right there!
Arrowhead Provincial Park is the place to visit in Winter - experience the unique and amazing outdoor trail skating rink, strap on a pair of cross-country skis and enjoy the expertly groomed nordic trails, go skating on their local pond, or see how co-ordinated you are wearing a pair of snowshoes.  There's even a bonfire most days to warm you up!  All rentals are available on site - and they even will swap out rentals if you get tired of one type of experience.  Check dates for their Annual Loppet - a popular fun race day for all ages.

Algonquin Provincial Park has beautiful groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing also! There are limited walking trails open due to winter ice conditions - be sure to check with the Park for availability.
Our cottage resort is located on
Snowmobile Trail 77 - you can snowmobile safely right to your cottage from the trail.

Winter Seasonal Rentals are available for our snowmobiling guests - rent for the full 3 months of Winter (January, February and March) at great seasonal rates.  Call us early for availability!
Everyone needs to get out during Winter and our village of Dwight and surrounding areas offer plenty to do!

The Dwight Winter Carnival and Dorset Snowball Winter Carnival take place annually in February.

Lots of old-fashioned family fun all for the price of a button!
Skate on Dwight Bay or at the Dwight Skating Rink located across from the Dwight Public Library - you can walk there from your cottage in only 10 minutes.

Our local volunteer firefighters maintain this beautiful little ice rink all winter.  There's even a warming hut for you to use!
A Winter visit in our area is never complete until you've skied at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area!

Only a 10 minute drive from your Muskoka accommodation, you will have a blast on the 12 runs (plus a bunny hill for the beginners!) and a terrain park. With an average snowfall of 343 cm (125 inches), there's plenty of snow for the downhill skiers and the snowboarders.

A warm-up chalet with well-equipped cafeteria are easily accessible from the hill for when you need a break.
